A huge shoutout to everyone who participated in the DC Half Marathon on Sunday! I had a fantastic time—this was my second year running it, and I loved the course and the energy.
Thank you to the organizers for such a great event, especially with fall marathons approaching.
I finished 8th in my age group (40-49) with a time of 1:22:05. While it’s a bit slower than last year, I’m pleased with my results. As a retired elite runner, I’ve raced many half marathons and have a personal best of 1:04:15 from 20 years ago. Now, I run for fun and to challenge myself.
I’ve also started a coaching business at Coach Kiprunning to give back to the community and help runners of all levels. It’s been rewarding to see so many thrive
Looking ahead, I’m gearing up for the Army 10-Miler and the Marine Corps 10K. Good luck to everyone in the fall races! See you on the road!
keep running strong!
