Summer Training for the Fall Marathon

As summer begins, it also marks the start of fall marathon training. The heat and humidity can present challenges to your training, especially during those long runs. Coach Kiprunning recommends scheduling your long runs early in the morning, before the sun and humidity increase.

I also suggest working with a running coach to help you navigate your summer training effectively. Coach Kiprunning is still accepting runners who are preparing for the Marine Corps Marathon, Chicago Marathon, and NYC Marathon. We offer customized training plans for all levels of runners, from first-time marathon trainees to advanced world major qualifiers of all ages.
